If you work in Gurgaon and thought you couldn’t throw a meatball and hit a decent fine dining restaurant serving lip-smacking American Themed food, think again.
Location: Located conviniently, just a few steps away from IFFCO Chowk Metro Station (Gate No. 2).
Exteriors: A huge parking spot and towards the entrance – an impressive Harley Davidson Cruiser Bike standing to welcome us.(pics)
Interiors: We made our way in the restaurant walking on the ‘Walk of Fame” (pics), on the right were some black and white portraits of legendary personalities (pics), to the right was a section of goodies.
Tips: For those who are indecisive/unfamiliar with the various styles of cuisine available here, let the waiters suggest you with their USP’s, because you wouldn’t want to just experiment from a BOOK of Menu. Tantalize your taste buds with their huge offerings and Be sure to save room for desert!
Ambiance: Dimly-lit with luxurious seating arrangements, the surroundings were pretty comforting, a pleasant ambiance to enjoy with your friends, client or family. (Pics)
The outside section held eggs to order, barbeque, salads, waffles and a chat corner. A section inside the premises had soups, main course and Desserts. The songs Hotel California and Summer of 69 played through, while we took our seats.
Food: We ordered our mocktails, waffles and eggs to start with. Later, we treated our budhha belly with bbq paneer, salads, and eggs. Main course consisted of majority of non veg dishes and the needs of vegetarians were ignored so to speak. My non-vegan friends seemed quite satisfied with the food, though I strongly felt the need of more variety.
In main course, I had paneer and lachha parantha, the only option i had. The hakka noodles were bland to my taste, so i skipped it.
My mood turned on the moment I saw dessert spread and to my satisfaction EACH of them were delectable.
Service: The chefs and waiters are polite, professional, smiles every now and then and will help you -proactively.
Verdict: With the level of food, hospitality, service and ambiance offered by The California Boulevard (TCB) delivered with such established reliability and finesse , TCB is here to stay. Only if there was some variety of main course for vegans, It would have got a perfect 5/5.
